The Pink Ribbon Foundation (reg. Charity No. 1080839) is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities. These charities support people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer, and those who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment. There are a large number of such charities in the UK, each as deserving as the next. Many of the charities supported by the Pink Ribbon Foundation are smaller organizations operating on a shoestring budget.

It won’t happen to me.

This week in the UK approximately 750 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It will be the same next week and the next and the next, totaling over 41,000 new cases diagnosed each year.

Myth 2
Breast cancer isn’t that common.
FACT
It is believed that Britain now has the highest breast cancer mortality rate in the world. This week over 250 women in the UK will die of Breast Cancer.
