Colin Caruso
Paul Mitchell® focus salon owner and Master Associate, husband, father of three and most recently 2008 Educator of the Year. Colin Caruso is a force to be reckoned with! As a teen skateboarder Colin constantly changed his hair colour and that of his friends. At school, counsellors regularly asked what he wanted to do, but it was his Mother that recognised the artistry in hair and saw that it was part of who Colin was, and with her guidance Colin trained as a hairdresser. After graduating from hair school and attending trade shows Colin began to understand the Paul Mitchell® philosophy, “Paul Mitchell gives hairstylists the business, creative and artistic tools needed to be successful.” A modest, regular guy, Colin has a passion for his craft “I want to do what Robert (Cromeans) did for me – let people know there are no limitations; you can be as successful as you want to be!” Appearing June 13th, 14th and 15th

Lenny King
Lenny King, Paul Mitchell® focus salon owner and Master Associate, travels the world educating hairdressers, salon owners and managers through the philosophy of learning. Lenny says “too often education is about teaching and not learning”. He reverses the focus and creates a fun, interactive learning environment where stylists can take new information and apply it to their own salons. He has applied the same philosophy to the success of his salon business.
Appearing July 4th, 5th and 6th

Ryan Belmonte
Born and raised in New Jersey, Ryan began his career training and working under his first mentor Tom Harris. He has since moved on to work with Colin Caruso at Salon Caru, just across the river from New York City. Ryan is an active stylist and manager of the salon and also finds time to educate locally as well. “Success to me is about finding balance… Keeping a humble and positive attitude are also major players in why I am able to be successful too.”
He started his professional career working at Bloomingdale’s where he was first introduced to the service industry and began his foundation in understanding the importance of sales. – “I love the freedom of being able to work with people, feeding off of their energy, and enjoying their company”.
Ryan’s experiences along the way have allowed him to be a leader at Salon Caru, and have helped him to be a problem solver for the rest of the staff. He has also had some opportunity to do platform work with Paul Mitchell. “I’ve been so blessed with timing in my life, and been granted opportunity when I am truly ready. Being able to take a stage and teach a large amount of people at once has been a unique experience that I will always bring with me. There is no better feeling on earth to me than to be on stage performing, teaching, and selling.”
