HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY TWO
Day two of Gathering began with a motivational talk on the mainstage from bestselling author and speaker Agapi Stassinopoulos, who shared excerpts from her new book Wake Up to the Joy of You: 52 Meditations and Practices for a Calmer, Happier Life. Agapi led the audience on an enlightening and humorous journey of wisdom and meditation to help let go of what doesn’t work to create the lives they really want with five simple steps:
- Prioritize your self-care with adequate restful sleep. Take small pauses throughout the day, whether it is taking conscious breaths or walking around the block, to disconnect from the franticness of your daily life.
- Be authentic in who you are and celebrate your uniqueness.
- Treat yourself like a VIP client and do the things that nurture, support and uplift yourself.
- Let social media support rather than deplete you. Learn how to disconnect, turn off your devices and take time for yourself to create and do things that bring you joy. Don’t let anything rob you from your joy.
- Don’t engage with negative people; they are not your responsibility to fix. Here is a mantra you can always use: “Change my attitude or change my location.”

With the help of renowned magician David Frost, Angus Mitchell was able to execute a beautiful long, layered haircut on David’s assistant while she levitated on stage.
2) In Black and White
This presentation celebrated our 20/20 Collection, while giving a nod to our signature black and white branding. Our 20-year portfolio of hair color sparked trends, ranging from tone on tone to pops of complementary colors, while ensuring the color placement and haircut were cohesive.
3) Hiplet Ballerinas
The viral hip-hop and ballet sensation Hiplet inspired this riveting segment. From head to pointe shoes, our artistic team used a combination of classic and urban elements to tie it all together.
4) Floral Expression
Based on fashion influences from editorial to runway, we used flowers to interpret those trends on the main stage.
5) Smoking Wigs
Inspired by Robert Cromeans, several specially styled wigs were crafted to conceal a small vessel of dry ice to create an unforgettable smoking effect.
6) RC’s Fan Trick
Robert was inspired by Lucie Doughty when he conjured up this trick. He took their shared love of the “blowing hair effect,” created with fans during campaign photo shoots, to the next level!
