Making the most of your Salon Economies: Part Three

Salon Economies are areas within the salon to maximise focus with the goal of increasing sales and enhancing the guest experience. Each area represents an important guest touch point and by focusing on these economies salons can turn an ordinary experience into an extraordinary experience, and build guest loyalty and generate word of mouth recommendations.

The Tool Barsm

Help increase Take Homesm sales with a fully stocked Tool Barsm. Allowing your guests to purchase the same tools you use on them in salon will give them the confidence to recreate that salon feeling at home. Grab attention by presenting them to your customers and making it clear they can purchase, giving them the confidence that they are purchasing tools recommended by you.

Why not try:

  • Have a mini Tool Barsm on each Stylist Station to include at least a hair dryer and your bestselling straighteners – ensure your team let guests know they can purchase these from your salon
  • Create stunning hair styles using your tools and share via social channels, showing your guests what they can create at home using tools they can purchase from you.


Take Homesm

Maximise your space in-salon by displaying your Take Homesm stock in key areas such as The Wash Housesm, The Reservation Desk and your window displays. Group stock in colour/ collections such as a Tea Tree section or a brand collection (such as the Paul Mitchell® Black and White range).

Why not try:

  • Target your team with Take Homesm sales they can push throughout each stage of the process – i.e. shampoo and conditioner at The Wash Housesm, and styling products by The Stylist Station
  • Increase sales by having a Product of the Month with a percentage off RRP, ideally that your Stylists use often during a treatment. This can encourage new Take Homesm  guests to buy and existing guests to treat themselves
